Guide to Oregon's
Camping
Oregon is a beautiful state with more than 50
state parks available for camping. You can make
reservations 9 months in advance or as few as 2
days before your stay. There are also first come
first serve sites. When you make a reservation,
you must pay the entire amount due for the
length of your stay plus a nonrefundable $8
reservation fee. Reservations may be made online
with a credit card, or by calling 1-800-452-5687
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Champoeg State Heritage Area is located 7
miles East of Newberg along the Willamette
River. The location is close to Portland where
you can play disc golf, fish, canoe, enjoy an
interactive history program or relax.
Smith Rock State Park offers the best rock
climbing in Oregon and is located 9 miles
Northeast of Redmond.
South Beach State Park is located 2 miles
South of Newport.
